WIKI POST- integrating audio with an image

I have created an image with adobe photoshop for one of my remixes. With the image, I have recorded soem audio that I intended to integrate into the image. I have a MAC and I tried to integrate it with IMOVIE but it is not working. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can achieve my goal. Dr. Knobel assisted me in posting the image but she is asking to figure out this audio integration. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
