Hi Everyone!
I just wanted to introduce myself to everyone because I was not able to make it to our first class. I'm a third grade teacher in Livingston and am looking forward to learning more about new technologies that are out there. Although I feel that I am semi-competent when it comes to new technology, many of the topics that we will be learning about are very new to me! I am glad to see that a lot of us are in the same boat. I agree that it will be a challenging semester, but I am looking forward to working with all of you!

Hi Jess, I'm Phylissa. If I sent you notes from class, I am not sure how much sense they will make to you. Just getting on the blog is a great start! Hi jessica, im madison...well in second life im madison waffle..LOL. I am very new to blogging and very similiar to phylissa if i sent you the notes from first saturday you will probably think i was really writing in a virtual world...A whole new language. But one of the notes that struck the most was the word "literacy". Each person gave their definition of literacy and difference between language and literacy. We can catch up in class on the differences. One thing you might find helpful is to set up a gmail account.. I had too.
